More than 75,000 people around the world took part in voting for this year’s Wildlife Photographer of the Year People’s Choice Award. Ice Bed, by Nima Sarikhani, was the big winner. It shows a young polar bear nodding off on an iceberg. Dr Douglas Gurr, director of the Natural History Museum, said the image “allows us to see the beauty and fragility of our planet”… More here.
That photo took my breath away. It is a remarkable shot and I could stare at it for a long, long time.
It is beautiful, and kind of sad. The other winning photos were amazing too.
