Apple Vision Pro is an amazing start, but it's not for us

Many people, including me, were surprised last night by the demos of Vision Pro and the sense that the future had arrived. The presentation, marketing and strange way each Apple representative stared at us with fixed smiles made for what could be called a success.

A day later I realise that Vision Pro will be very important, but not for the average consumer currently. The benefits I see could come in training; surgery, flight simulation, anxiety training and even recreating a cinema experience at home. The potential to do away with so much infrastructure and to use Vision Pro is huge in professional fields.

With 2 hours battery life you can forget about films or work currently, but take yourself forward 10 years and Vision Pro may be looked back at and considered the start of something truly game changing. But for today, it will remain a product that the rest of us can marvel at from a distance.
