The console flopped, and apart from a small license deal with Norweigan company Katz, Apple found no other suitors. There were three main reasons why the Pippin failed: it launched at $600 (more than $1,000 today!), there were few compelling games to play (especially in the US), and Sony, Sega, and Nintendo already had a stranglehold on the market… More here.
Some of the products listed were indeed poor and others were perhaps ahead of their time, but I note that they are all from a ‘long’ time ago apart from the butterfly keyboard. This shows that Apple is now more considered, which to be fair it can afford to be, but I do wonder if Vision Pro could break the recent trend of success after success?
