There is little doubt that the Conservative Party will not win the next big vote and the big money is on a November election. I don't think they will get that far.
As they try to cling on for a few more months to either drain as much money out of the system as they can or to make things so bad it will be more difficult for a Labour government to avoid upping taxes, the polls consistently show that they are politically dead.
They may try to add a tax cut in the next budget through the cutting of more public services, but if they do that they run the very real risk of causing another Liz Truss meltdown in the markets which would be catastrophic for the whole nation.
If they do not offer a tax cut and everything from the NHS to law and order continues to spiral downwards, the number of seats they can grab in an upcoming election will continue to dwindle.
The only hope Sunak has is to call an early election (in May?) in the hope of saving a few seats and to piss off to America where he really wants to be. Only then can the country start to move forward.
