I visited an Apple Store yesterday and as usual it was pristine. A healthy number of customers, helpful staff, beautifully laid out tables with perfectly aligned products and a setup that tricks you into wanting to spend money.
It has been like this for years and it works so well, but there on the wall was a selection of £59 FineWoven iPhone cases and every single one of them was scratched. They had been sat on the wall, picked up by a smattering of customers and yet they still looked terrible.
Leather, which FineWoven is supposed to replace, ages nicely and gets more interesting as it gets older, but alas this replacement from Apple looks bad on the Apple Store wall, bad on your phone and is bad for your wallet. An unusual fail from Apple and one which them seem unable to hide.
