The strange phenomenon began in 2015 when her owner, Jeff Young, was finishing a cigarette and failed to notice in time that Eclipse had climbed onto a bus by herself. The bus then drove off but Eclipse exited at the correct stop and was later found by Young happily playing at her usual dog park.
She then made regular solo trips to the park, usually two to three times per week… More here.
Somehow I missed that Eclipse had died some time back, but what a story she created. Dogs are not always so independent, usually because of us owners, but they truly are wonderful to be with and to look after.
Our Cockapoo, Bailey, was almost a panic buy because we were missing our Cavalier, Murray, so much after he died. A year of difficulty followed because Cockapoos are not easy to manage when young, but these problems turned out to be the best parts of his personality and the reasons why we adore him so much today.
Dogs truly are the best of us and Eclipse was like the PR lady for all dogs to show the world how special they are.
Absolutely! All their quirks just make them that more special.
