I never bought him a pride onesie when he was a baby.

I never read him a book that had two moms as part of the storyline.

When he was little stores and businesses didn’t have LGBTQ+ displays and we didn’t celebrate pride month.

He was raised Catholic, and went to church.

Guess what? He is gay.

The rainbow won’t make your kids gay. They are born that way. A display in a store won’t make your kid trans, they are born that way.

If you don’t love and accept them for who they are, YOU are a shitty parent.

I don't understand how someone can be a parent and not love their child for who they are. I don't understand how someone can put their religion above their own flesh and blood, and why they believe that they have the right to try to change their child. And finally, why on earth they could possibly believe that sexuality is a choice.
