You will need Apple News+ or a subscription to read the article, but the title says it all for me and mainly because I no longer carry a physical wallet. Literally everything I need is in my (Apple) wallet these days and my driving licence and work pass sit in my SurfacePad which carries my iPhone.
It won't be long before we need nothing besides a phone, or even just a smartwatch, to do what we need from an ID and payment perspective. I 'think' that's a good thing?
