What record player should I buy?

Articles like this one tend to concentrate on the higher-end record players and I am finding myself stuck as to what I should buy.

I own a cheap one which is not very good at all, but am looking at a new record player with the following features-

• Needs to have its own speakers because I want to avoid a set of components.

• Must have good audio quality, preferably loud as well.

• Needs to look decent in a lounge.

• Should not be too expensive.

Any ideas?

It is not easy finding any record players that sit between the cheap as chips poor quality offerings and the higher-end audiophile models so any recommendations would be appreciated.
